Holstein Breeder wins Jersey Judging
at South West Dairy Show
Norman Clothier from Ston Easton won the Sharpham Estates ‘Wine
and Cheese’ in the Jersey Cattle Society’s Champion
of Champions Photo-judging Competition at the South West Dairy
Show.
Mr Clothier owns the Hillstone herd of 300 pedigree Holsteins
in Somerset and was delighted by his success.
Master judge, Malcolm Huxtable of the Sowden Jersey herd,
said: “It was not easy.
All six of the animals pictured had won Supreme Championships
and Mr Clothier showed an excellent stockman’s eye in
sorting them.
“I hope that Mr Clothier enjoys his cheese
made from Jersey milk along with the wine from grapes grown
on the banks of the River Dart in Devon.”
