WJCB Pre-Conference Show – Friday 16 May 2008

We anticipate that the issues regarding the current Blue Tongue outbreak will be resolved well before the Show date and, to encourage a bumper entry, we are pleased to provide the following information which should help exhibitors prepare.

Inter-breed Judge
Mr Brian Sayles of the Bridon herd in Canada has accepted an invitation from the Devon County Agricultural Association to judge the Inter-breed Championships.

Mr Sayles is a vastly experienced judge and he has an enviable, worldwide, reputation for turning out superb cattle in both the Jersey and Holstein breeds.

2008 Class Schedule

Heifer born on or after 1st April 2007

Heifer, maiden born on or between 1st October 2006 and 31st March 2007

Heifer in-calf, not to be more than 2 ½ years old at time of calving

Cow, dry and due to calve on or before 20 September 2008, any age

Heifer, in-milk, which has produced her first and only calf under 2 ½ years. New addition

Cow in milk with second calf, which was produced under the age of 4 years

Cow in milk with third calf

Cow in milk with fourth or subsequent calf
